Person #1—Malachi Martin, author of “The Keys of This Blood”

I think it is safe to say that this book is considered one of the most important books exposing the New World Order. I have heard many Adventists, individuals and ministries alike, promote this book. Up until very recently I knew almost nothing about Malachi Martin. As best as I can remember, all I had heard was that he was an ex-Jesuit and that his book, “The Keys of This Blood,” had something to do with the Catholic Church and the New World Order. Because I was going to write this, I went to the internet to see what I could find. I found some pretty eye-opening things. Read, and behold the man that so many Seventh-day Adventists are being influenced by.

Point #1—Malachi Martin was always a true and loyal Catholic:

“After WorldNetDaily published my obituary of Dr. Malachi Martin last week, I was contacted by one of his closest friends and confidants, who wanted the opportunity to clear up some errors and misconceptions about a great Catholic man.

“Father Charles Fiore, who spoke with me at length over the weekend, wanted both critics and supporters to know one thing if they knew no other—that, first and foremost, Malachi was always a fully functional and—in the eyes of the Church—“legal” priest, as well as an avid defender of the traditional Catholic Church…Malachi still gave Mass, still heard confession, and still was, in fact, a priest in every sense of the word.”  [www.worldnetdaily.com]

One of Malachi Martin’s “closest friends and confidants” (the same has been said about this man on other sites also) says—“Malachi was always…an avid defender of the traditional Catholic Church…That was Malachi—a traditionalist to the end.”

Compare what his closest friend and confidant just said with this next quote from Malachi Martin himself:

“In the traditional Roman Catholic structure, knowledge about God, Christ, Christian salvation, personal morality, and human destiny derived from the hierarchic pastors of the Church—namely, the Pope and his bishops. They were the only authentic source of knowledge about the faith; apart from them, there was no accurate knowing possible about Christianity. Submission to them and acceptance of their teaching and laws were necessary for salvation.”  [www.starharbor.com]

This site, www.starharbor.com says that they are “The Official Father Malachi Martin Home Page.” Their site is full of information about Malachi Martin. Obviously, they speak very favorably about him. Here is one thing they say:

“In 1964, Pope Paul VI released Father Martin from the vows of Poverty and Obedience in the Jesuit order, but confirmed his vow of Celibacy. Pope Paul instructed Father Martin to report directly to the reigning Holy Father whoever he may be, or to some member of the papal Curia the reigning Pope designates.”  [www.starharbor.com]

Here is another piece from them, this one a direct quote from Malachi Martin:

“To be a true Catholic means to hold most firmly to all those truths which Christ and His apostles have taught, which the Catholic Church has always proclaimed, which the saints have professed, which the popes and councils have dogmatically defined, and which the Fathers and Doctors of the Church have defended. He who denies but one of these truths or hesitates to receive one of them is not a Catholic but has fallen into heresy, which will cause him to lose his soul unless he repents and comes back to the fullness of the Faith. You are urged to attend Holy Mass at a Roman Catholic Church where the traditions of the Church are being maintained.”  [www.starharbor.com]

Two final quotes from Malachi Martin, showing his loyalty to the Catholic Church:

“Let us, in our generation, do our duty by Holy Mother Church.”  [http://starharbor.com/fr_martin/oct97.html]

“His Papacy has been successful in this basic sense: that nobody can ever doubt his consciousness of carrying the burden of Peter. He has carried the message of Christ all over the world, and given millions the richness of the Gospel.”  [www.starharbor.com/fr_martin]

Point #2—His deep involvement in Spiritualism

 1. He was an exorcist for over 30 years.
He wrote a book on exorcism, describing in great detail how to perform an exorcism.
At the age of 75 he was performing more than one exorcism a month.
In a very descriptive article he writes on exorcism, he says:

“I have smelt the breath of Satan.”

“The demon knows it’s losing. Instead of screaming abuse, it begins to plead for It says it’s sorry, it begs to be spared. It promises to go home. But the Bible says that only on the last day can the followers of Satan return to Hell.”

“I was standing on a stool in my apartment, reaching for a book and I saw He was crouched on the floor looking at me. His body was like a muscular pit bull terrier, but the face was recognizably human. It was the Devil’s face…When the Devil sprang at me, I fell from my stool and broke my shoulder, but I felt fortunate. I had seen Satan and I had lived.”

“Every exorcism takes something out of you that cannot be put back. The demon goes, but it carries a part of you away with it. A little of the exorcist dies each time.”  [www.starharbor.com/fr_martin]

He appeared on the Art Bell show and did an extensive interview with him. (For those of you who are not familiar with Art Bell, he has a late night radio program that airs nationally. It is almost entirely devoted to every weird, far-out, supernatural, spiritualistic subject you could possibly imagine. It usually includes guests that are “experts” in these things, and that claim to have much “experience” in them.) Here are some excerpts from his interview with Malachi Martin:

Art Bell (hereafter: A.B.): Father, may I ask you about this? If you were not a Catholic priest, but instead were a Native American, would you be a Medicine Man? And if so, a Medicine Man is, from time to time, called to drive out spirits. (Art Bell is here comparing “Medicine Men driving out spirits” to Malachi Martin being an exorcist. As I stated above, this is Art Bell’s main interest—the supernatural)

Malachi Martin (hereafter: M.M.): Yes they are.

A.B.: What are they doing, Father? Are they doing the same work, is it the same channel?

M.M.: I’ll tell you Art what I think, now that you’ve asked a personal opinion of a very difficult subject; but my experience is the following, and I’m not merely talking about Native Americans…I have seen such miracles of cure and restitution and de-possession worked by these people, including Native Americans—really shamans—you know, the old type. Because of my beliefs I must conclude that my Lord Jesus Christ, in whom I believe, and who is the source of all power, has used them in their innocence and their faith, to cure people outside the reach of a Catholic priest like me. I cannot deny that.”

M.M. (Later in the broadcast): There were two men coming to us along the street, middle-aged men in ordinary clothes and I knew they had just committed a murder. I knew that.

A.B.: You knew that?

M.M.: I knew that because of the demons with them.

A.B.: You actually saw the demon with them?

M.M.: Yes, I do that. I, I do that. I’ve got second vision.

M.M. (Later in the broadcast): When you do exorcisms you find out that there are two demons—there are many other demons—one who responds to the name of Lucifer and he’s the big honcho, he’s the big banana. And there’s another one who’s not as big, but very important, called Satan.

Caller (Later in the broadcast): My question is, I wanted to know if you were familiar with a story that came by—at least to me—by Hal Lindsey—the evangelical author and prophetical scholar?

M.M.: Yes, I like Hal very much. I think he’s God-like.  [www.hoffman-info.com]

This next little piece is from a site called—FATIMA NETWORK:

 The Story of Fatima

(Malachi Martin, like many Catholics, was a firm believer in “Fatima”)

“The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared six times to three shepherd children, “the Three Seers” (remember that word seers, it will continue to come up) near the town of Fatima, Portugal between May 13th and October 13th, 1917. Appearing to the children, the Blessed Virgin told them that She had been sent by God with a message for every man, woman, and child living in our century…In all her appearances at Fatima, the Blessed Mother repeatedly emphasized the necessity of praying the Rosary daily…”

“The heart of Our Lady’s Message to the world is contained in what has come to be called the “Secret”, which She confided to the three child seers in July 1919. The secret actually consists of three parts, the first two of which have been publicly revealed. The first part of the Secret was a horrifying vision of hell “where the souls of poor sinners go”…The last part of the Secret (often called the “Third Secret”) has not yet been made public.” (On the Art Bell show, Malachi Martin said: “Now what’s the Third Secret? It’s rather a dire document. It’s not pleasant reading at all. I’m under oath not to reveal the actual details of it because I read it…I can’t break my oath in that matter.”)  [www.fatima.org]

Here are parts of another interview to go along with “The Story of Fatima”:

Interviewer: What about “the three days of darkness” many seers mention?

M.M.: Yes, it is an element in the chastisements prophesied by Our Lady at Fatima.

Interviewer: If Pope John Paul II has read the Third Secret of Fatima, why has he not revealed it?

M.M.: He and his advisors do not think that the message of that third secret should be revealed to the ordinary citizens.

Interviewer: What is your opinion about the abundance of visionaries and seers that we hear about every day?

M.M.: For the direction of one’s life, one can rely explicitly on those which have received approval from the teaching authority of the Roman Catholic Church. As far as I know, these amount to about six or nine. [www.starharbor.com]

Forgive me if my analogy is too strong, but it seems to me that Seventh-day Adventists going to this man to be “enlightened” is not a whole lot better than Saul going to the Witch of Endor.
